Parisian Ball

A couple of friends and I decided to check out the debut of Parisian Ball on Governor's Island.  The event description consisted of vintage carousels, DJ's from Paris & live bands. The idea was to recreate a majestic carnival from the French Revolution, just in time for Bastille Day.  So cool right? The weather wasn't as good as we were hoping, but the rain didn't stop us from enjoying the festivities. Picked up a few ponchos just in case and we were ready to go.  The fashion was great, we saw everything from Marie Antoinette to modern day Parisian style. Lot's of stripes, fedoras, converses, combat boots, denim shorts, crop tops & Ray-Bans.
We purchased a bottle of Prosseco upon arriving and posted up at the picnic tables to take in all of our surroundings.  After that we hit up the rides, which go forwards & backwards so beware ;) The DJ's were fun and were spinning some pretty decent mixes.  When we arrived 1 girl was dancing, by the time we left it turned into a rage party. One boy was doing back bend kick overs if you catch my drift...
It's definitely something you should check out, I believe the rides will be there for the rest of summer!

XOXO- Katie
